Competition Sculptures

 

In this gallery you will see chronologically all the pieces that Mady has been presenting in different competitions, all around the World, since she started to carve stone.

'Rose Window'

- Mady won the 'Regional Award of the Future Artistic Careers' from the 'National Institute of the Arts Careers' in 2012 in France.

She presented this piece at the end of her first year of stone carving.

Beside the award she received, this piece was also the final piece of her first diploma as a Stonemason, that she successfully passed with distinction.

Made out of French Limestone.

As she was carving this piece, half way through the process she discovered this beautiful Geode formed into a fossilized Ammonite.

She decided to keep it and incorporate it in her design.

'Ocean'

- Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2017 -

Suzhou, China

Mady received a Gold Medal for this Luminescent piece.

Made from New Zealand Jade and Canadian Jade .

Including a Bowenite base, Aluminium tentacles, and an LED light.

'Mother Nature'

- Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2017 -

Suzhou, China

Made from New Zealand Jade and Australian Black Jade .

Including an Argilite base.

'The Spring Puzzle'

- Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2019 - Suzhou, China -

 

Mady received a Gold Medal for this multiple parts piece.

Made from New Zealand Jade, Canadian Jade and Siberian Jade.

Including a Basalt base and Stainless Steel stand.

All the parts are holding onto each other with earth magnets.

'Physalis'

- Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2019 - Suzhou, China -

Made from Canadian Jade, Siberian Jade and Australian Black Jade.

Including a Basalt base and LED light.
