Competition and Award Winning Sculptures

 

This gallery presents all of Mady’s competition pieces in descending chronological order.

'The Spring Puzzle'

 

Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2019,  Suzhou, China 

Mady received a Gold Medal for this multiple part piece.​

 

Made from New Zealand Jade, Canadian Jade and Siberian Jade, including a Basalt base and Stainless Steel stand.  All the parts are attached with earth magnets.

'Physalis'

 

Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2019, Suzhou, China

 

Made from Canadian Jade, Siberian Jade and Australian Black Jade, including a Basalt base and LED light.

'Ocean'

 

Exhibited at the International Jade competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2017, Suzhou, China

Mady received a Gold Medal for this luminescent piece.

 

Made from New Zealand Jade and Canadian Jade, including a Bowenite base, Aluminium tentacles, and an LED light.

'Mother Nature'

 

Exhibited at the International Jade Competition 'Zi Gang Bei' in 2017, Suzhou, China

​

Made from New Zealand Jade and Australian Black Jade, including an Argillite base.

​

'Rose Window'

 

Mady won the 'Regional Award of the Future Artistic Careers' from the 'National Institute of the Arts Careers' in 2012 in France for Rose Window.​

 

This piece was also the final presentation for her first diploma as a Stonemason which she successfully passed with distinction.​

 

Half way through the process of carving this piece, Mady discovered a beautiful Geode formed into a fossilized Ammonite. 

She decided to keep it and incorporate it in her design.

Made out of French Limestone.
