Kawakawa Stone Limited is a New Zealand-based business founded by stone carvers Madelyne Gourdin and Nick Spicer Balme,

operating from their workshop in Whanganui.

Each artist brings a distinct approach to a shared dedication to craftsmanship and form.

Their work spans hand-carved sculpture and one-of-a-kind jewellery, crafted from from genuine New Zealand jade, the unique stone, Pounamu and a variety of materials including both precious and common stones sourced locally and internationally.

They also create original jewellery designs in sterling silver and bronze, often incorporating hand-carved stone inserts.

 

Their wearable art, sculptures, and award-winning works are represented in public collections, galleries, and private collections throughout New Zealand and internationally.
